You now have the knowledge of that God has created you and has a wonderful eternity planned. But he also wants you to know Him! He allows us to learn of him through Jesus and the bible. We cannot learn about God on our own. We cannot reach him by ourselves. If Heaven was up in the sky, how high of a ladder would you have to build to get there? If Heaven was elsewhere, how would we get there alone? The simple fact is that we cannot get to God on our own. We need a spiritual bridge to cross that chasm and reach him. Jesus is that bridge.
Jesus paid for our sins by living a sinless life and dying on the cross for us. With this act it opened up the gates and allowed us to spiritually reach God. The first step in becoming a Christian is to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
I’m standing at the door and I’m knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.

Once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, simply bow your head, close your eyes and pray:
God,
Thank you for sending your son, Jesus Christ, to earth to die on the cross and relieve us of our sins. With his sacrifice, I ask you for forgiveness for my sins that I have committed. I request that you come into my life and my heart. I bow my will to yours. Take my hand and lead me as you wish and grant me the wisdom to hear your words. Amen.
