Archive for the ‘Gospel According to Oprah’ Category

People have asked why I think something must be said about Oprah and her new Christianity. This would be the reason why! Forbes has ranked Oprah Winfrey as the most powerful and influential celebrity in the world! When you combine this with the poll that 3 out of 10 people would believe the word of Oprah over their own clergy in religious matters, it really shows that Oprah has the power to change Christianity for the masses.

Today’s topic of prophets in today’s world really reflects on this issue. Do Oprah’s teachings match up with that of the Bible? No, it does not. She is not speaking the Lord’s word and trying to use her massive amounts of power to pull people from the true word of God and the teaching of Jesus Christ. She is a false prophet!

Dr. Oz

While I was driving to work today, I pondered the subject of the day; what would I write about? Then all of the sudden on the radio I hear the voice of none other than Oprah Winfrey inviting me to watch her show today.           One thing that I enjoy doing in the back end of my blog is reviewing the stats page. It shows you all sorts of interesting information about your blog. Not only does it give you the number of visitors, but it also shows how people got to the site, any links to the site that others have put on their sites(Thank you very much by the way), what stories people are reading, and so forth. The one that interests me the most, however, is the category called “Search Engine Terms” this shows me a list of what people were searching for on Google, Yahoo, etc. to get to my site. I can then use this info to try to give those searching more information about the subjects they are searching for.

Two days ago, three people did a search that I just loved; they asked “What would Jesus say to Oprah?” I found that very interesting. What would Jesus say? I thought about this all weekend. I know several things I would like Him to say, but would He? I have come to the conclusion that it is not my place to speak for Him. But if their question was “What would you say to Oprah?” then I would have a few things to say. (more…)

In a poll compiled by Beliefnet.com, 33% of the polled population states that they would believe Oprah Winfrey over their own clergy in spiritual matters!

That number is astounding to me and explains a lot of the current new age movement that she is spearheading! Please help me in praying for the misguided.

Question: “What is the “church of Oprah”? Is Eckhart Tolle’s “New Earth” compatible with Christianity?”

Answer: Oprah Winfrey is arguably one of the most influential women in the world. With a daily viewership that has peaked at around 10 million, the Oprah Winfrey Show definitely has the potential to impact the lives of many people. The Oprah Winfrey Show definitely promotes much that is good. However, there is another side of Oprah that has only recently become an integral part of her show—and that is her rejection of biblical Christianity. Oprah has made statements on her show in the past that have given a small glimpse into her personal spiritual beliefs, speaking mostly about her belief that there are many ways, millions even, for a person to “get to what some call God.”
