The world we live in is a dark one. Crime and injustice run rampant, and it is very easy to get swept up in the flood. It is difficult to stand the path and be true to God; but He is also being true to us. Remember that God will be there for us and will bring us out of the dark times if we have faith in Him. When something happens, take a deep breath; remember Him and His word, and that He will bring us out of this darkness and into His Light.

Dearest Lord,

We thank you for shining your glorious light down on us always, even when the darkness descends. We ask for your love in these times so that we can always remember that you are there with us. We know that you will never leave us, but it becomes hard in these dark times to see you by our side. We thank you for your guidance in these hard times and your blessings that will soon come. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

daily-spirit-logo.jpg            In this crazy world we live in things seem to go wrong for us all the time. The car will not start, the kids didn’t finish their homework, didn’t get the promotion, dinner was just a little bit blackened after it was forgotten for an extra twenty minutes. These things are part of everyday life and no matter how careful we are, Murphy’s Law will catch up to us one day…or every day in some cases! How wonderful is it to know that no matter what kind of day we are having and how insane the world gets around us, we can always turn our thoughts heavenward and know that God has our back. It is tempting to question Him, and there is nothing wrong with that. We wonder why God has made our lives so hectic; but we also know that there is a reason for everything.
